ASHTON JEANTY! YOU ARE A RAIDER!
If you are a Raiders fan you were probably sitting at the edge of your seat waiting to see who the Las Vegas Raiders would take with the 6th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Raiders did not disappoint, with the 6th selection the Raiders drafted the top running back in the draft, Ashton Jeanty. Jeanty who played for Boise State set the college football world on fire with his dominant performance in the 2024-25 season. Jeanty ran for 2,601 YDS, had 29 TDs, and set the Boise State University single season rushing record. He surpassed Jay Ajayi’s previous record of 1,823 yards in 14 games. Jeanty finished the 2024 season with 1,893 yards in just 10 games. He finished the season with 2,601 rushing yards which is the second-highest single-season total in FBS history.
Jeanty will instantly make an impact on the offensive side. The Raiders were at the bottom for a league-worst 3.6 yards per rush. Jeanty is patient and runs with great vision for the game on the field. He is productive after the catch, something he showed off in 2023 with 569 receiving yards. It's easy to say the Raiders have their running back for years to come. It will be very exciting to see him grow and become a leader on this team.
Tomorrow begins the second Round of the NFL Draft, and the Cleveland Browns will kick it off with the number 33 pick. Will the Browns take Shedeur Sanders? Or will he fall to 37 and be taken by the Raiders? The Cleveland Browns also have the 36th pick in the Draft. Could they trade down or stay where they are? There are many possibilities for Cleveland, but we never really know until a team is on the clock.
Should the Las Vegas Raiders select Shedeur Sanders if the Cleveland Browns decide to pass? This will be interesting…
